Current position: Post-Doc at the University of Milano-Bicocca

2004: PhD in Geological Sciences and Geotechnologies for Environment and Territory
Thesis: Biogeochemical Fluxes in the Eastern Mediterranean.

2000: Master in Geological Sciences
Thesis: Ecologia, produttività e distribuzione verticale dei Coccolitoforidi nel Mar Ionio (Mediterraneo orientale).


Research interests

- Present-day coccolithophore assemblage composition in different oceanographic settings

- Biogeochemical (coccolithophore related) fluxes

- Paleoceanographic and paleoclimatic reconstruction through coccolithophore-based proxies

- Exploration of the deep-sea environment through geophysical and direct methods

Research Areas: Mediterranean Sea, Southern Ocean, Guaymas Basin (Gulf of California)
