Geocronologia e archeometria

Curriculum

Nato a Milano il 31.8.1952 si è laureato in fisica nel 1975 presso l'Università di Pisa. E' stato Ricercatore dal 1976, e Primo Ricercatore dal 1988, presso l'Istituto di Geocronologia e Geochimica Isotopica del CNR di Pisa, dal 1994 assistente e poi docente presso l'Università di Berna. Ha tenuto corsi come professore a contratto presso le Università di Padova, Fribourg, Pisa, Milano-Bicocca. Ha svolto periodi di studio presso il California Institute of Technology di Pasadena e l'Università di Sheffield. Nel 2002 è stato chiamato come Professore ordinario presso la Facoltà di Scienze dell'Università di Milano Bicocca. Ha svolta una intensa attività di insegnamento avanzato in scuole di perfezionamento in numerose università italiane ed europee ed ha tenuto comunicazioni come invited speaker in numerosi congressi internazionali, ove pure è stato convenor di sessioni e simposi. E' stato associate editor della rivista Tectonophysics e attualmente è associate editor di Terra Nova.
