Curriculum
After the Degree in Materials Science in 2001 at the Università di Milano Bicocca, Marcello Campione has been working on the study of the growth dynamics and structural properties of thin films of molecular organic semiconductors at the Department of Materials Science in Milano and at the Institute “Charles Sadron” of Strasbourg (CNRS), using scanning probe microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, and x-ray diffraction methods. In 2005 he obtained the PhD in Materials Science: Nanosctructured Materials. Since 2009 he is Permanent Researcher at the Università di Milano Bicocca working at the Department of Geological Sciences and Geotechnologies. His main scientific interests are the analysis of the microscopic growth mechanism of molecular organic thin films by scanning probe techniques, the study of organic-organic epitaxy, and the growth of single crystals of organic semiconductors for device applications. His research activity is documented by more than 70 papers in international journals together with communications to national and international conferences. He is member of the editorial advisory board for The Open Journal of Applied Physics and referee of the Journal of Physics: Condensed Matter, Surface Science, Advanced Materials.
